BATOKA CHIEF (5) is an interesting runner fresh. He won very well on debut over this track and distance, scoring by 2.25 lengths from back in the field and looking every bit a Saturday class of horse. He's since spelled for eight months but has jumped out well enough and with any natural improvement he might just have these covered for talent. DANE ON TOUR (12) doesn't win out of turn but is racing well, only beaten a neck over 1700m at Flemington when last seen. Back a notch in grade and trip here, she'll be hard to hold out. WASCALY (1) put in a much better effort behind a smart horse in Dream All Day at Flemington last time out. He'll be hard to hold out from a wide draw. GAWNSKI (11) resumes at a suitable trip and has the ability to figure if fit enough. THE JESTER'S SON (4) should be thereabouts.
