Verdict

The Ryan/Alexiou stable hasn't dodged the tough races with SEQUISTA (1) to date. Ran on powerfully for third on debut in the Inglis Nursery in December. Next appeared four weeks ago when she led the Percy Sykes field for home then held on well to be beaten just over two lengths by the classy Tempted. Looks very tough to beat in this inferior field. CHICAMA (7) returned from a five-month spell with a decent third over 1100m at Hawkesbury after missing the kick. Won a subsequent trial so expect his manners have been sorted out. Sure to give a sight. TIBERIUS (5) overcame adversity to record a narrow win on debut at Wyong recently. Tougher assignment this time but should be competitive. BEECHWORTH (10) made good progress to fill a minor placing at Canterbury last time. Top three chance at a juicy price. KILMAN (2) off an eight-week let-up is not out of contention.
