Verdict

ZIRYAB (1) is racing in consistently strong form, winning the Terang Cup as favourite two back before a tough third in the Warrnambool Cup last time out. Turns around quickly here which is the slight query but have to back the Ciaron Maher stable. SAVOIR FAIRE (3) has been strong to the line his past couple and should be suited getting to 2400m now. Right in this. FERNAO (6) is going well, a BM64 winner two back before just finding Affluential a touch too strong at Flemington. Stays down in the weights and will be hitting the line. GOLDEN CRUSADER (2) stuck on well at Mornington last time out and now gets to 2400m which should suit. Takes catching. GALILAEUS (7) is in the mix.

The race before that favourite; won by 1.0 len at Terang Terang Cup April 13 over 2150m defeating Mystery Island with 55kg at $2. Well placed. Brings the class form into this.
