GAINTREE (2) resumed with a gutsy win from the front here a fortnight ago, being back into an odds-on quote. Should be better for that effort and out to 1400m now doesn't look an issue. Can raise the bar again now with Pike sticking and she'll be tough to reel in from the front. PROPERATA (1) stuck on gamely from the front but couldn't get by Gaintree last start when the two battled it out right to the wire. A wider draw this time is a query, though it does look as though he'll eat up 1400m. Will need a touch of luck, but he showed last time out that he's good enough. MARCOS (3) gets the blinkers on today after flying late over 1200m in a Class 1. Out to 1400m is a big tick after a narrow miss as a $1.65 fave two back at Northam. Expecting a bold effort. ROGUE RULER (4) stuck on well first-up and should get every chance once again. ROCKTEX (5) can go one better this time without surprising.
