HOROLOGIST (3) missed the kick then came from near the tail of the field to be beaten under a length on debut last start over 1250m at this track. Has a nice turn of foot and with better barrier manners today can go one better. Stablemate SANCTUM (4) finished his race off nicely to beat all but the highly promising Omolong when on debut over 1100m at Warwick Farm a fortnight ago. Will relish the slightly longer trip today and is a great chance to open the account. ELIO (7) has been about the mark at both runs this time in work, the latest over 1250m here when he tired in the dying stages. Cherry ripe and should be prominent for a long way. KING OF THE TOP (10) was poorly away but knuckled down impressively to get up for second when facing the starter for the first time over 1100m at Gosford recently. Winkers going may sharpen him up out of the gates. Cannot be ruled out. SNITZEL A'LA ROUGE (13) hasn't been far away in his two runs to date and is in the mix again.
