IMPOSING SUSPECT (3) never came into it last start after settling too far back behind Magnetic Edge at Gawler, but his prior form reads strongly and he’s far better suited if Crowther can have him closer in the run. Meets the winner better at the weights and is capable of turning the tables. MAGNETIC EDGE (4) had their measure last time with something up his sleeve, scoring at big odds. Carries more weight now but deserves far more respect and must be taken seriously. LONGER ROUTE (6) has mixed his form this prep but his peaks stack right up for this level. Major player if he turns up on song. CHAIRMAN (5) backs up quickly after a below-par run at Warrnambool, but he’s much better than that and a sharp rebound wouldn’t surprise.
