MERCY ME (7) raced handy then was too good for a maiden field over 1100m here three weeks ago. The runner-up failed subsequently which is a nagging concern, but on face value she looks a promising type with more to offer. The sparingly raced mare PELOSA (4) is back after an eight-month lay-off. Started favourite but missed the frame when resuming last prep over this distance at Kembla. Went on to race well in town which is strong form for a race like this. MONTE VEEBEE (2) returns after a 252-day absence and is now in the Bjorn Baker yard. Beaten just half a length at the Kensington track first-up last prep. Trialling and can win this without surprising. SEASTRAAND (5) has not raced since she defeated Pelosa and others over this trip at Kembla last March. Smart mare who probably needs this but cannot be underestimated. ALIGNED (1) is a consistent sprinter back from a spell. Usually needs a run but is one worth including in the exotics.

Third-up today. Resuming held ground to the line 2nd of 9 at Scone Mdn-Sw on December 11 over 1000m, neck behind Too Darn Finesse carrying 55.5kg at $2.40. Second-up tracked the speed and boxed on steadily; won by 1.1 len at this track F&M Mdn-Sw December 28 over 1100m defeating Lady Of The Castle with 56.5kg at $3.70. Profiles nicely. Rates highly and from gate one is a big chance to get the job done again.

Resuming after a break of three months. Finished off last preparation second of 11 at Hawkesbury Cg&E Bm64 October 16 over 1300m, a neck behind President with 58.5kg at $1.80. When resuming last campaign fifth of 8 at Randwick Kensington 2yo C&G Osc June 25 over 1100m, soft track; 9 len behind Raging Force with 56kg at $16. Will improve off this hit-out but is too honest to rule out.
