LEGARTO (1) has had 2 starts back from a spell in elite company, and has been close up on both occasions without all the luck in the world. She won't mind dropping back to a mile, and her top weight is not too prohibitive for a mare of her class. On top for us. MAROTIRI MOLLY (4) set the pace and fought gamely to finish runner-up by a neck here at this level 4 weeks ago. She handles any track conditions, and with another chance over a mile, she will take some pegging back again. SIR ALBERT (6) cannot be faulted for his consistency and tried his heart out when finishing runner-up in the Timaru Cup nearly 3 weeks ago. He is down in weight and can't be taken lightly. QUEEN ZOU (7) swept up before the final turn and was too tough when scoring by a head in the Rich Hill Mile at Ellerslie last time out. She has the same weight to carry and can repeat the dose. HI YO SASS BOMB (5) is an underrated mare resuming from a spell. She likes it here and only needs a wet track to be a threat.
