Big field, loads of win chances, and also very wary of the well bred first starter Anglesea. LATIN LIGHTS (14) made debut in a richer maiden and spotted a start turning but kept coming and finished off really well. Has upside and looks tough to stop here. HARRY DEVIL (5) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1500m at Caulfield Heath. Freshened for this and drawn for a soft run on the inside. THE DEFENDER (7) was close to the winner last time over seven furlongs and is another who will finish on hard over the shorter trip. Hard to follow but best figures stack up. LIL ORLOV (8) is a locally trained galloper who has improved at each of three runs to date, placing the last two. Drawn a little better this time and rates a leading player at home.
