ASSOCIATE (6) stepped up to this trip at Hawkesbury and deserved his easy win at 68 level. He finally drew an inside gate and used it to his advantage. It won't be so easy cosy today from an outside barrier, but the in-form Boudvillain stays aboard, and it's hard to go past the Seib yard in its current form. Fellow Canberran EXTRAVAGANT CHOICE (9) has been kept on the fresh side following his 1L defeat at Queanbeyan over 2000m. He's continued to improve since his 1L defeat this trip in a 68 at Kembla Grange in late October. He will race forward and tumbles 5kg in weight. That brings him right into it. MATHRIN (5) made up a stack of ground winning a 70 at Canberra over 1600m before finding one too good in Open grade at Queanbeyan. Maps for the run of the race, and also has decent claims. Stablemate DYNAMIC ONE (8) mixes the form but is back from town and has the ability. Backs up quickly, but he'll need a good ride from the outside gate.
