Tough race. CATAHOULA (11) ran well fresh at Sandown Lakeside, beaten a head over this trip. That was only a BM64 but she'll be fitter and did run well in this (and higher) grade last time in. Solid chance. PRIMAL SPIRIT (4) beat Catahoula there and is low flying at the moment. Reece Goodwin has him in fine form and he'll be very hard to catch again. BARBARIC LAD (7) can mix his form but is certainly capable on his day. He hasn't been far away in a pair of BM74's at his past couple and if the pace is on up front, which it should be, he'll be weaving through late. BOLD RESPONSE (10) was good last start at Cranbourne despite being overrun as a $2.35 chance. The run prior behind Heart Of Glass is solid form for this as well. Can figure. DIRTY GRIN (6) is fresh for this but brings King Zephyr form and that should hold up nicely.
