Josh Parr to ride with the concussion plates coming off, and his two trials had merit. Hard to stop. SHROPSHIRE LAD (4) struggling to draw a decent gate this prep. Went back from the gate and covered plenty of ground when a fading fourteenth over 1200m at Randwick. Gets the claim today and expected to bounce back over this trip. Will be strong late. RITZSUN (6) frustrating gelding who was a month between runs when a poor third over 1000m at Scone. Kept fresh again and maps well on the better surface. Stays in the mix. AL FLORES (15) made a mess of her rivals at start nine when a crushing 7 len maiden win over 1200m at Goulburn. Hard to ignore that effort but will need plenty of favours at this level from the gate. Keep safe. LIGHTNING SPEED (16) returns from a lengthy break with a handy winning CV. Carries no weight with the claim and her two trials were strong.
