A bunch to view positively on the whole with WAR HAWK just about the most persuasive option having displayed a nice turn of foot when winning at Chester a week ago. Meblesh and Cayman Dancer remain open to plenty of improvement, while Hornsea Bay could easily get back on track over a new trip having been gelded.

Looked a good prospect when scoring on debut at Ayr (1m) in September prior to a good second under a penalty back at that venue a month later. Failed to meet expectations both starts this spring (gelded since) but he's up in trip and it's far too soon to be writing him off.

Winner of novices (around 9f) at Beverley and Redcar and he resumed with a very good second of 5 in 10f Newmarket handicap, despite going freely. Stuck to his task when third back over 1m a month ago and he's a major player from the same mark.

Winner at Lingfield in April and confirmed he's as good on turf when doubling tally at Chester a week ago. Displayed nice turn of foot in the process so has to be of interest from 5 lb higher.

Sea The Stars colt who was an encouraging third of 11 in a Doncaster novice (7f, good) on debut at the end of March. Disappointing at Newbury a fortnight later but given a short break and back on track in no uncertain terms when successful back at that venue 3 weeks ago. Type to go on progressing.

Churchill colt who made the most of a good opportunity in 9.5f Wolverhampton maiden in January. Took a big step forward switched to a handicap when second at Doncaster (10.2f) 10 weeks later and similar form when third at Ascot since. Cheekpieces on for the first time.

Fair form when runner-up 3 times as a juvenile and gelded ahead of return (fitted with a tongue tie) he relished step up to 9.9f when successful at Goodwood a month ago. 6 lb higher here but limit unlikely to have been reached.

Built on promising turf debut to win a Chelmsford maiden over this trip a month ago. All out to hold on under a penalty and subsequently demoted at Lingfield 3 weeks ago but he remains with potential in handicaps.

Fairly useful filly, winning twice last year. Outclassed by 2 superior rivals in in listed Oaks Trial at Lingfield and while this trip is probably in her favour, her opening mark looks on the high side.

Improved on the AW since joining present yard, winning 3 of his 8 starts for Dylan Cunha, including at Southwell (1½m) where he battled well to force a dead-heat. 5 lb rise in a better race on turf seemed to find him out at Sandown.

    Verdict
Won a 7f Ascot novice last September but has looked out of his depth in three subsequent starts, faring no better on his return to handicaps when last of 9 at Newbury (10f, firm) 3 weeks ago. Should be more competitive back at a realistic level with cheekpieces fitted for first time.
