ARTIST (9) had been racing very well before failing to get involved last start at Queanbeyan when he got too far back. On an eight-day back-up and gets in beautifully after the claim so expect him to bounce straight back into form. FUDGE (5) led clearly on straightening but tired late and missed the placings last time out over 2000m at Moruya. Has a far better 1600m record. Gets in light with the claim and the blinkers go back on so there a few positives heading into this. MADENYO (6) was just fair when resuming in a Class 3 over 1375m at Cowra recently. Finds a slightly easier race and is more at home over this distance so watch for a much better performance. SCARLI JAPALI (3) was only 1.5 lengths behind Moritz Girl in a Randwick Highway over this distance last start. Handy mare who is certainly good enough to test these. GHOST WALKER (2) resumes. Beaten narrowly in a Class 3 in town last prep over this trip which is strong form. In the mix despite being first-up.
