SHERIFF'S STAR (6) finished less than a length from the winner in a tougher field at Wyong 12 days ago and should make full use of the pole position here. He is back down in class and is the one to beat. AWEIGH (8) has been narrowly beaten in his last couple of starts and has the blinkers on for the first time. An extra 100m will help, and from a handy gate, he can take this out. VIN SANTO (7) tried hard when finishing second here last time out over 1200m. The extra furlong will be in his favour, and any rain around won't bother him. His first win is not far away. INCANTATION (9) ended her recent spring campaign with a third at Newcastle and is resuming at country-class level. A recent quiet trial will have her ready to run a big race. JUST CHILL (5) had to work a touch too hard on debut and only battled home despite some solid market support. He will be better for the experience and would not be a shock winner here.
