He was given 4 weeks ago to get over that effort and should be the one to beat in this. Follow your money. ASTERN MAGIC (4) challenged the leaders 3 wide early last start and kept on kicking to finish third, a neck back from the winner that day. He has a superior draw this time and with top local hoop Jarrod Todd in the saddle, he can go one better. TO THE POINT (6) resumes from a spell and is usually thereabouts at this level. The pole position will help him and he has top 3 claims. CHANGE IS COMING (2) had an excuse 2 starts back and then probably found the 7-day back up into his most recent start a touch too close for him. He has been given more time to recover this time and is worth another chance. PRECONI (5) battled away fairly fresh up here 4 weeks ago and should improve quickly second up. He has a chance to improve his poor course record in this.
