REMATCH (5) looked to be close to winning form again when finishing fourth at Orange nearly 3 weeks ago. He was runner-up on this track in a higher grade in February and will be suited to 1900m. His stable is running hot at the moment, and he will be hard to hold out. I AM THE EMPIRE (1) won at Randwick on the Kenso track fresh up by a nose and then was found to be lame after his modest effort at Hawkesbury 3 weeks ago. He is down in class, and can bounce straight back into the money here. AHURIRI (8) was fifth fresh up at Hawkesbury 3 weeks ago, finishing just over a length from the winner. She is down in class, and Nash Rawiller should suit her. She strips fitter and is capable of taking this out. BLACK RUN (2) had a rocky run fresh up at Warwick Farm over a mile and should have finished closer had he not copped a check in the home straight. Both of his career wins have been second up, so stick with him.
