BOTANICAL BOY (7) can improve here at his third career start. He was a narrow winner on debut at Pakenham but did in stylishly from the back before an even effort at Geelong. Finds a suitable race from a nice draw and can improve again. BELTHIL (1) resumes off two solid trials. His form tapered off at the end of last campaign but his best form reads very well in higher grades than this. This looks a nice race for him to kick off in. MISTY EMOTIONS (14) is going well, just finding one better at her past couple of starts. Up slightly in grade here but does drop in weight and maps ideally. ALWAYS HAPI (3) is the one that will relish a heavy track. He ran well for a narrow third at Ballarat last time out in a stronger race. Should be thereabouts again. SAXON SPOT (9) resumes. He was a handy Geelong maiden winner at his only run last time in and has to be respected.
