Honest gelding PINK SHALALA (10) is back from a short break. Goes well when fresh, just missing first-up last prep at Kembla before progressing through the campaign to eventually win in town. McDonald will give him the run of the race from a nice draw so in a race thinned out with scratchings he makes plenty of appeal. SECURE (11) returned from a 110-day spell with a decisive win over 1100m at Canterbury after being handy from the outset. Unproven at the trip but expect Nash to get the best out of this lightly raced three-year-old. TRUE AMOR (15) is back from a five-month spell. Opened last prep with a tidy win over 1200m at Kembla. Now gelded and is trialling in great style so he poses a serious threat. IRON HAWK (17) was too good for a Class 1 field over 1200m at Kembla recently. Very fit now and should be thereabouts again. CLEAR PROOF (2) is ready to improve at the third run back from a spell.
