SAN LUCIDO (11) is going better than his form suggests. No match for Extinguish last time but meets her better at the weights here and doesn’t need to improve much to be fighting out the finish. EXTINGUISH (7) was too sharp when leading pillar-to-post at the latest. Fourth-up now and still has more to offer. Will take plenty of running down again from the front. POWERBOUND (3) doesn’t win often but brings solid Victorian form to the table. Gets in well with the claim and will be hoping they overdo it up front so he can launch late. SAINT BOOM (10) was dominant in his CL1 at Balaklava last time. This is tougher but he’s worth respecting. BOOKMAN (8) destroyed his rivals in the slop at Stony Creek last start. Back on a firm surface now, so tread carefully.
