SWEET TALKIN GAL (9) had just one start in her juvenile campaign, finishing a close second over 1200m at Te Rapa. She will be a lot stronger now, and with a trial win at Cambridge under her belt, she is the one to beat, despite drawing a wide gate. COSMOPOLITAN (10) was eighth, beaten by 6 lengths, in the G3 Gold Trail Stakes at Ellerslie last start, which is good form for this level. She has 4.5kg less to carry this time, and can take it out. MERILLIAN (2) returns from a seven-month spell and was runner-up in her only run this year. She showed readiness with an impressive Cambridge trial win just over a fortnight ago. She has the pace to take up a forward position from her wide gate, and can give this a shake. HONOR THE NAME (3) won a couple of trials prior to finishing fourth at Matamata on debut over 1050m, nearly 4 weeks ago. She will naturally improve with the experience, and can finish a lot closer this time. Follow your money.
