A 17-month gap between his two appearances suggest that MOON OVER CLYRO probably hasn't been the easiest to train, but he'll probably prove good enough for this if able to at least match the form of his recent C&D hurdles debut second. Times A Wastin showed enough in Ireland to make him of interest here on his first fun for Fergal O'Brien, while Mr McLoughlan had Roadshow 11 lengths behind when third at Newton Abbot and he also has claims. Nels Son remains of interest, but may need the run.

Showed nothing on sole start for James Moffatt in a bumper at Bangor in April 2024. However, his recent C&D hurdles debut second for new yard was far more inspiring and he probably wouldn't need to pull out much more in order to go close in this contest.

Found some improvement in bumpers this year, making the frame on final 3 starts in that sphere, and there were positives to take from his hurdles debut fifth of 18 at Cork (3m, good) in July. One to consider down in trip here on first run for new connections.

Bought for £56,000 after finishing third in an Irish point last spring and showed more than he did on Rules debut in a bumper when third in a 5-runner Stratford maiden hurdle (16.3f, good) in July. In good hands and should be better for the experience.

Fairly useful winner on Flat in France and has shown ability over hurdles, placed for the fourth time in this sphere when third of 6 on penultimate start at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good to firm). That said, he doesn't look especially progressive and was behind Mr McLoughlan over the same C&D last time.

Some promise in bumpers for Craig Lidster and hurdles debut third in a 7-runner maiden on debut for new yard at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good) was certainly encouraging. Drop in trip here looks a good move and he's a live each-way candidate with Sean Bowen again booked.

Promising debut third of 14 in a Wexford maiden hurdle (20.4f, good to soft) for Colm Murphy in July 2024. No show at Ffos Las on first run for this yard in November of that year, but now tried in a hood and he remains of interest given that debut promise.

Held back by inexperience but showed ability when fifth of 12 in bumper here (heavy) on debut last October. Subsequently left David Simcock and market should guide expectations on stable/hurdle debut.

Comfortably held in bumpers at Cheltenham and Southwell towards the end of 2024, and didn't fare any better when last of 3 back from a break at Market Rasen in March. Absent since and readily passed over on this hurdles debut.

Five-time winner on the Flat (stays 17f) for David O'Meara, but sold out of that yard for just 8,000 gns following a low-key end to 2024 campaign and hasn't show much in 3 runs for new connections this year. Opposable now switched to hurdles.

Signed off time with Andrew Balding on a winning note in June 2024, landing a 1½m Goodwood handicap. However, patchy profile (both on the level and in this sphere) since joining this yard and others make more appeal.

Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Butler's Brief (21f-3¼m winner) and modest hurdler Just Jess (2m/25f winner). Runner-up sole start in Irish points during the spring and it could be that he'll come into his own when faced with a stiffer test in due course.
