SEPHIA (12) resumes from a spell having run a strong race on debut at Geelong, working home well as a $2.50 chance to grab a narrow second. She's trialled well, given a good hit out over 1200m recently which should have her primed for this first-up on the local track. VIANARRA (6) has had a few chances but has come back well, placing in both runs this time in. Should be at peak fitness and will take catching. MARTY MCFLY (5) has been around the mark of late, beaten narrowly two back at Kyneton before another close up effort at Kilmore. Solid each way chance again. NICABUK (2) was better at Pakenham last time and should roll forward from a wide gate. KINGSFORD (4) resumes having run once to date at Otaki in New Zealand. Must respect the connections and a very strong trial win recently for local trainer Matt Williams.
