Big field, loads of win chances, and also very wary of the well bred first starter Anglesea. LATIN LIGHTS (14) made debut in a richer maiden and spotted a start turning but kept coming and finished off really well. Has upside and looks tough to stop here. TEXTURE (16) was a close-up fourth then covered ground and boxed on fairly when straight to 1400m. Better for it and comes back to a sharper journey this time. Will be finishing hard. HARRY DEVIL (5) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1500m at Caulfield Heath. Freshened for this and drawn for a soft run on the inside. THE DEFENDER (7) was close to the winner last time over seven furlongs and is another who will finish on hard over the shorter trip. Hard to follow but best figures stack up. DON'T TELL HARRY (4) was solid at big odds after a long spell. Much fitter now and worth including.
