QUAMBY showed much improved form when runner-up at Wetherby (following 7 months off) having been slowly away and not given a hard time by today's jockey. She can progress again and get off the mark at the expense of Bintalina, who went like the best horse at the weights in a Bath maiden last time and should do better upped in trip, while the market should offer some clues regarding the well-bred newcomers from the William Haggas yard.

Went like the best horse at the weights when second of 5 in maiden at Bath (8f, good to firm) 32 days ago, finishing well under a hands and heels ride having still shown signs of inexperience. Likely to progress over this longer trip.

725,000 gns yearling, Dubawi filly. Half-sister to French 7f winner Liwa Oasis (by Lope de Vega). Dam unraced sister to high-class winner up to 1½m Mogul and very smart winner up to 13.4f Japan, out of useful 1½m/13f winner Shastye. Excellent pedigree and highly respected on debut for top yard.

Much sharper for debut run when second of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (9f, good to firm, 20/1) 26 days ago, clear of rest. Will likely need to improve again if she's to trouble the best of these.

Much improved form for longer trip on third career start, considerately handled when finishing second of 8 in novice at Wetherby (10f, good to firm, 20/1) 49 days ago, having been slowly away. Has more to come at this trip and should go on improving. Sets the form standard here.

Sea The Stars filly. Dam, 2-y-o 1m winner, sister to useful 2-y-o 7f winner Monumental and half-sister to very smart winner up to 6.5f Tantheem. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and is worth a market check on debut for excellent yard (who are doubly represented).
