Looks a decent maiden with a few young, speedy and untapped types lining up. Expecting LYRA STAR (6) to run well first-up. He was well-backed in a strong 2YO city race on debut during the autumn and did plenty wrong. He's trialed well this campaign, has drawn low and gets a handy claim. He can lead or settle on the back of the leader and should be in the finish. ARTISTIC ANGEL (9) has been a bit frustrating for punters after showing plenty of early promise. She keeps racing well and this looks to be the easiest race she's contested. Local trainer Matt Seyers has a strong hand with three runners and both PRETTY MORSEL (7) and SECRET OWL (12) can run well. Pretty Morsel showed glimpses of ability last campaign and she's drawn to get all the favours here. Also expecting some improvement this preparation from ILLUSTRATES (5), who can be considered for wider plays.
