Highly competitive and plenty who like to go forward. Preference is for recent C&D winner LORD ROXBY who pulled clear with a fellow improver in a good time that day and may well be able to progress again. The form of Far Above The Law's Windsor victory is working out very well and he's feared most, ahead of Alpha Magic who took a big step forward from first run to second and can be forgiven his latest effort. Of the rest, U Sure Do could be an improver on handicap debut.

Off the mark a first-time hood when making all to land a 9-runner novice at Chelmsford (7f) in December. Struggled at Listed level at Lingfield prior to attracting support on handicap debut at Chester (6f) but proved too free without a hood (now refitted). Gelded since and has claims down in grade.

Strong in the betting and produced a career best when winning 14-runner handicap over C&D (good, 5/2) 18 days ago, the front pair pulling clear in a good time. That looks solid form and he warrants plenty of respect in a slightly higher grade.

Dual 5f winner at Chester (on soft ground) as a juvenile but seemed to find things happening too quickly when seventh of 10 in a handicap over the same C&D last month. Step up to 6f may help but is likely to prove most effective with cut in ground. Engaged 2.10 Chester Saturday.

Stepped up on reappearance run showing improved form when making all to land a 9-runner handicap (12/1) at Windsor (6f, good) 22 days ago, seeing off a fellow improver. Form of that race is working out very well and he merits serious consideration.

Seems to go well in the mud and ended 2024 on the up with a brace of nursery wins, emerging with plenty of credit for most recent win at Doncaster having raced freely. Returns from 7 months off facing different conditions in his bid for a hat-trick but he could easily have more to offer as a 3-y-o.

Back-to-back winner of sprints last summer and signed off campaign with a good third in nursery at Newcastle in October. Gelded prior to this season but is yet to replicate juvenile form in two starts as a 3-y-o. Will need to improve on most recent efforts.

Took a big step forward from debut victory at Thirsk (6f) when very creditable third in a 13-runner Doncaster novice (6f) in April. Can have a line put through his latest run over the same C&D when reported to have lost his action. May well resume progress here.

C&D winner last season and shaped as though still in form when upped in class on final juvenile start. Solid form when third (clear of rest) to a couple of useful sorts in maiden at York (6f, soft) last June. Gelded prior to returning from 10 months off, proving his ability still intact when third of 8 in novice at Pontefract (6f, good) 68 days ago, clear of rest. Very interesting now handicapping.

Bagged an 11-runner nursery at Pontefract (6f, heavy) in October, on his first run since being gelded. Shaped relatively well on first outing since leaving Richard Fahey after 7 months off (sold for 35,000 gns) when ninth of 22 in handicap at York (7f, firm) 15 days ago. Drop to 6f should suit.
