MERCY ME (7) raced handy then was too good for a maiden field over 1100m here three weeks ago. The runner-up failed subsequently which is a nagging concern, but on face value she looks a promising type with more to offer. The sparingly raced mare PELOSA (4) is back after an eight-month lay-off. Started favourite but missed the frame when resuming last prep over this distance at Kembla. Went on to race well in town which is strong form for a race like this. MONTE VEEBEE (2) returns after a 252-day absence and is now in the Bjorn Baker yard. Beaten just half a length at the Kensington track first-up last prep. Trialling and can win this without surprising. SEASTRAAND (5) has not raced since she defeated Pelosa and others over this trip at Kembla last March. Smart mare who probably needs this but cannot be underestimated. ALIGNED (1) is a consistent sprinter back from a spell. Usually needs a run but is one worth including in the exotics.
