He comes down from New South Wales having run in some decent races on the country circuit of late, third in the Orange Cup two back before a sound effort at Tamworth as favourite. The market has liked him of late and this looks a winnable race. EL JAMES (3) is a progressive type who was well backed at the Bool, just fair there over 1700m having also gone under at $1.35 fresh in the Warracknabeal Cup. There's ability there, give another chance. BROOKLYN BOSS (5) is a query at this trip but is going well, beating home El James last time out. Maps for every chance to run it out. CATANI GARDENS (9) resumes as a gelding. He's a former Irish import with just four starts to date. Watch the betting with him. PENNINE WAY (7) is racing well and only needs to hold his form to be fighting out the finish again.
