Sticking with the long overdue PROVOKER (9), who has placed 4/5 career runs to date. Placed fresh when racing on speed and worth noting career best figure was when third this course and distance when tried to lead throughout and just missed. Take catching again. WHATA SORT (11) found six furlongs too sharp fresh then improved second-up over 1300m on the Sunshine Coast. Gave a huge start into the straight there and wound up strongly. Fitter again and extra trip a plus so looks tough to stop. NICCONIUM (5) placed at first two from a spell then had a horror draw last time and wasn't disgraced when sixth. Much better drawn now and should be running on into the finish. ATOMIC TIME (6) resumed from a long spell with a solid third in easier at Ipswich. In-form apprentice aboard second-up and can give a big sight. VAN DE BAN (10) had one start in first campaign but has since been gelded and fitter for two trials. Stable running hot and worth keeping safe.

At the latest run 6th of 16 at Eagle Farm Mdn on September 24 over 1400m, 4 len behind Some Style carrying 59.5kg at $12. Before that 3rd of 8 at Toowoomba Mdn-Sw on September 6 over 1300m, 1.4 len behind Shedenza with 56.5kg at $7.50. Good run given the gate last time and much better drawn here.
