Verdict
WIND AND THE LION (10) stepped up to the mile last start in the Belmont Guineas and just didn't see out the journey. Back to 1200m here is a big tick, he drops a stack of weight and Pike hops in the saddle. Plenty to like about the set up today and he can return to winning form. TOROPA (9) just missed in the Beaufine when back to 1000m off a freshen, closing off well behind an impressive winner. Parnham hops back in the saddle now and while the draw is sticky, out to 1200m is a big tick. Can land the knockout blow. ROCKIN' RUPERT (8) bolted in at the trials recently, but was a very progressive type through The Pinnacles last year. The wide draw will see him back in the run, but if he can pick up where he left off, he'll be storming home late. MAN CRUSH (1) looks well suited in this event and won't be far away. BABY PARIS (3) will be fitter now and can improve.

VerdictSecond run back. First-up after six months 9th of 12 at Pinjarra in the LR Beaufine on July 5 over 1000m, slow going 5 len behind Repossession with 55.5kg at $18. Previously second-up ran last of 8 at Ascot in the LR Miss Andretti on January 11 over 1100m, 6 len behind Man Crush with 56.5kg at $51. Didn't show enough first-up and happy to let him through to the keeper.
