A very thin maiden, HIGH FIBRE selected to open his account in this sphere having been placed on all 4 previous starts for his in-form yard. Regal Cavalier showed ability in pulling clear of the rest off a steady gallop when runner-up at Ludlow recently, so he looks the obvious threat ahead of The Great Escape.

Fairly useful on Flat and shaped well when placed all 4 starts in maiden hurdles, latest when pulling clear with the winner at Taunton (16.5f, good) back in March. Won't find many easier openings than this.

Modest on Flat, comfortable winner of 15.5f minor event at Corlay last June. Sold from Ludovic Gadbin €21,000 the following month and was too free sent hurdling at Wetherby in March. However, he settled far better when runner-up at Ludlow last month and he looks High Fibre's main threat.

Was switched to hurdles but offered little more than on his sole run in bumpers 4 months on when well beaten at Ffos Las (21.9f, good) recently. Back down to 2m but need to show lots more.

Stuck to his task when fourth in an Irish bumper for Darren Bunyan in 2022 but was too free on hurdling/yard debut after 29 months off (had breathing operation during absence) at Catterick in February. Massive outsider having joined another new stable.

Promising third on debut in bumper at Worcester last summer but tailed off on both subsequent starts over the winter. Has since left Fergal O'Brien ahead of this hurdling debut and a watching brief is advised.

Modest maiden on the Flat and given a considerate introduction to hurdling when fifth of 11 in maiden (50/1) at this C&D (good to soft) earlier this month. Gets 6 lb from his rivals but will need to take a step forward to feature.

Jack Hobbs colt who was absent over a year since last on his only start in point bumpers and went with no promise with a tongue strap fitted on his Rules debut at Stratford (16.3f, good) just over 2 weeks ago.
