Very tough. FIRST THOUGHT (1) has had a somewhat troubled prep, and struck a heavy surface last time that he didn't fancy. Prior effort on debut was much more promising, and he can land the prize here. FISHERMAN'S BEACH (2) resumes after almost a year off, having been relocated to Victoria. Showed some staying ability in Queensland last winter and looks capable of winning this if he's come back in good order. SIEGE PERILOUS (4) likewise, after being beaten a neck resuming before runing 5th last time in. Don't dismiss ALPINE COWGIRL (6) or QUICK KUDOS (3) who gets the blinkers on for the first time and could improve sharply.
