ORTHIES (3) has a genuine presence back in the fray after a two-month break. Posted progressive results last prep and conditions suit. Will go close. HARLEX (1) probably rolls forward with confidence after runner-up results at this track in his past two starts. Can go one better thanks to two kilos less. OMNIC (2) has good depth to his form and isn’t a write-off first up at a trip short of his best. On pace type always thereabouts. JARED (7) hasn’t been far off them at his past two but does prefer to place rather than win. Drawn to get every chance this time. CIFONELLI (6) is racing well on synthetic tracks, suggesting a firmer surface suits. Honest effort on the cards.
