BATTLE OF OMDURMAN was a fair juvenile last season and makes most appeal in receipt of a useful 4-y-o weight allowance on handicap debut. Last time out winner Record Art arrives on the back of a career best effort and gets to race in a similar grade here, while Scintillante has twice been placed at this course and should be in the mix again.

    Made all to win over this course last July. Proved better than ever on first start for 9 months after rejoining Fergal O'Brien, landing an 8-runner handicap hurdle at Taunton (16.5f), benefitting from a more patient ride in a well-run handicap. Up 7 lb but still one to consider in this grade.

    Most encouraging run since joining Neil Mulholland when fifth of 13 at Stratford in March, would have finished closer but for meeting a bit of trouble. That proved a brief revival, finishing well held in first time cheekpieces (retained) at Plumpton the following month. Something to prove now.
