Those final, nail-biting few hours or days before a game launch can be the most intense and stressful for a studio and its staff. The double and triple-checking of each element and feature. Running the game again and again, and again, until nothing has been left unseen. It’s certainly not the time for resting on your laurels and high-fiving around the office.

Thankfully, according to CEO of Oros Gaming, Ryan Cuddy, things worked a little differently with their new release, Magnificent Power Leprechaun, which also happens to be the exclusive entry on Staruniv Casino’s The Slotlist this month.

“Late in development, the focus was on pacing and polish”, he explains. “We fine-tuned how long features lasted, how quickly wins resolved, and how the Leprechaun reacted to outcomes. Because the underlying structure was solid, this stage was about refinement rather than rework—always a good sign.”

Team Behind Magnificent Power Leprechaun

That’s not to suggest that Cuddy and the team behind Magnificent Power Leprechaun didn’t encounter challenges in bringing their creation to the screen. But you get the feeling that Oros Gaming is a finely tuned machine that has both experience and skill brimming across the teams.

“One challenge was balancing frequency with clarity,” reveals the CEO of Oros Gaming. “With multiple fast-hitting features, it was important that players always understood what was happening and why.

“We solved this through iteration—adjusting animation timing, visual emphasis, and sound design until the experience felt exciting but never confusing. That process was only possible because feedback flowed freely across the team.”

Speaking about the team processes and the teams in general, Cuddy quickly highlights the core approach his studio takes to ensuring their product is the best it can possibly be.

“At OROS Gaming, our core focus is beating every game we’ve made before. We’re a seasoned team with deep land-based experience, bringing that discipline into online development”, he says proudly.

“We emphasize selfless teamwork, humble confidence, and de-risking decisions early. That means involving all disciplines from the start, making smart choices quickly, and delivering on time—every time.”

Magnificent Power Leprechaun continues Oros Gaming’s highly successful Magnificent Power series of games, with that brand proving a big hit with players. This time round, Cuddy says his team wanted to use the mechanic in a ‘lighter’ theme.

“The idea for Magnificent Power Leprechaun came from wanting to explore a lighter, more joyful expression of the Magnificent Power™ brand. While the franchise is rooted in strong, character-driven games, we saw an opportunity to lean intocharm and playful generosity rather than raw power.”

Main Character of Magnificent Power Leprechaun

Choosing the main character was a straightforward task.

“The Leprechaun is an instantly recognizable symbol of good fortune, so the goal was to create a character that feels alive and actively involved in rewarding the player. Our idea generation is very collaborative—initial concepts quickly turn into conversations between game design, art, and math, with everyone contributing ideas early so the best ones can rise naturally”, Cuddy adds.

The Irish folklore theme has been a staple of slots for a long time. Leprechaun’s and pots of gold at the end of rainbows is a visual image that players know all too well. How do you go about creating something fresh and even original in such a packed field?

“Visually, we wanted the game to feel bright, magical, and inviting, with a strong sense of Irish folklore without feeling dated or overdone,” Cuddy explains. “The Leprechaun himself became the emotional anchor of the game—he needed to feel friendly and full of personality.”

This meant more artistic and technical input to the character design, he adds.

“From early sketches through final animation, the artist and game designer worked closely to make sure his expressions, movement, and scale felt just right. The production artist then brought him to life with smooth animations and sparkly effects that reinforce the feeling that something entertaining is always about to happen.”

Despite the sheer level of work and the scale involved in creating and building a game such as Magnificent Power Leprechaun, the overall team involved was small. But that, according to the studio CEO, is what works best for Oros Gaming.

“This game was built by a small, highly collaborative team covering game design, math, art, engineering, QA, and production art. From the outset, the focus was on constant communication rather than hand-offs.

“Math decisions influenced animation pacing, art supported value clarity, and QA feedback shaped how often and how intensely features appeared. That alignment allowed us to maintain momentum in development while still delivering a polished final experience.”

Magnificent Power Leprechaun USP?

In that case, what is feature of USP of Magnificent Power Leprechaun?

The standout quality is the constant sense of motion and reward”, Cuddy says. “Whether it’s coins landing, the Wheel spinning, or the Leprechaun hopping around collecting cash, the game always feels active.

“The Cash Collect feature in particular adds a layer of charm and anticipation, while the Wheel and Free Spins keep win spikes and retriggers within reach. It’s designed so players never feel too far away from something interesting happening.”

With the game in the can and ready for consumption, what are his hopes for it?

“We hope players immediately connect with the Leprechaun’s personality and enjoy the game’s lively rhythm. It’s designed to feel welcoming and full of possibility.”
